Who is Another Old Guy?
I've loved music since I was a child. I worked at a radio station in summer camp when I was 11, became obsessed with music in my teens and had the privilege to work at WPRB-FM when I was in college. But rather than follow that passion, I became and continue to be an attorney.
A few years ago, I started writing about music for Star Maker Machine (as J. David), and then for Cover Me.
Now, I've decided to start my own blog, to write about music, television, politics and whatever. -

Tell me, O muse……
On Monday morning, the radio starts playing our local NPR station at 5:55 a.m. I get out of bed, throw on sweats and a t-shirt and go downstairs to make coffee, so that my wife can get dressed, grab some … Continue reading
Some Under The Radar TV
There continues to be too much good stuff on TV to be able to keep up. I watch a lot of it–it’s convenient and entertaining–to the point that I had to stop writing pieces about my favorites because it just … Continue reading
Enough, Already
The number of mass shootings in the United States in the first, not even two months of 2023, is around 72, as I am writing this. Apparently, there have been four more since the shooting at Michigan State University on … Continue reading

A Placeholder Post
Despite the new office, I’ve been writing here more (yay!) (or yay?) Nevertheless, I did want to do another post where I collect my writing on other sites, since the last one of these. It is sort of like the … Continue reading

AOG Linguistic Kardashian Award 2
Back in April, 2016, before our country’s antiquated Electoral College, Russian interference, misogyny, terrible reporting, and some sort of mass insanity resulted in the election to the Presidency of a buffoonish demagogue who surrounded himself with a crew of deplorable … Continue reading

Michael Cohen’s Lament
I’m trying something different here. I don’t think Weird Al has anything to worry about, though. Put suggested improvements in the comments. Sung to the tune of “Stormy Weather,” of course. Don’t know why She ever had sex with my … Continue reading
